Spinning and Weaving Galleries, Bradford Industrial Museum
'Literature in Mills and Factories’ explores the literary activities of Victorian factory workers as writers and readers, and shows how they used their writing to represent their experiences of working in a rapidly changing industry. It includes a display about local poets and authors, illustrated with their publications and portraits in Bradford Museums’ collection.
The exhibition is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and is part of the ‘Piston, Pen & Press’ research project, led by the Universities of Strathclyde and Manchester.
