David Shrigley
An exhibition of drawings, and a series of monoprints previously unseen in a public gallery, by the artist David Shrigley.
Described by one writer as an ‘artistic comedy mind at odds with the machinations of accepted convention’ David Shrigley is known for his instantly recognisable crude drawing style and his often humorous, frequently satirical observations.
Immensely popular, Shrigley has had many books of his work published and recently had a major exhibition at the Hayward Gallery, London. He was born in Macclesfield in 1968 and graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1991. He lives and works in Glasgow.
