Wild About Wire: lunchtime talk with artists Chris Moss and Beverley Drury

Cartwright Hall Art Gallery

Sun 7 May 2017

The starting point for both Chris and Beverley in making animal sculpture was draftsmanship skills and an expectation that the wire would be an armature for a solid sculpture.  And then they discovered that wire is too good to be hidden: it is an expressive medium in its own right, readily available, compact and clean.

They will each talk about how their pieces are made (techniques, tools and materials) and how they have presented their work to the wider world, it now having become a full-time practice for both of them. They will show the range of their work and how it has developed in pictures, and in the flesh (wire).

Free admission. Refreshments provided.
