Ilkley Camera Club exhibition, featuring the results of the 'Can you believe your eyes?' competition.
Ilkley Camera Club's exhibition features 120 framed prints, showcasing the work of one of Yorkshire's top rated camera clubs.
The Ilkley Camera Club exhibition coincides with the exhibition Fairy Folklore. The Fairy Folklore exhibition draws on the collections of Bradford Museums and Galleries, and explores local beliefs and tales of the fairy folk, including the famous Cottingley fairies.
The first photograph of the world famous Cottingley fairies, was taken in the Bradford district in 1917. To celebrate the 100 year anniversary of this photograph, Ilkley Camera Club ran a competition. The Can you believe your eyes? competition asked for two types of photograph to be submitted: those that are not truthful but look as though they are and those that are truthful but are so odd that you may think that they have been manipulated. The entries for this competition are featured within this exhibition
