Toys through time
In association with Ilkley Toy Museum
KS1 History Knowledge, skills and understanding 1a, 1b, 2b, 4a, 4b, Breadth of Study 6a; KS1 English En1 Speaking and Listening 2a – e.
Schools visiting the Ilkley Toy Museum can book a session at the Manor House using our 'toys through time' handling boxes – a fantastic collection of real toys from Victorian times to the present day – plus use of the Activity Room for packed lunches.
1 hour session, (max 30 pupils with a minimum of 3 teachers or teaching assistants)

Meet the Robinsons /The children of castle yard
KS2 History Knowledge, skills and understanding 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3, 4a, Breadth of Study 6, 7, 11a; KS2 English En2 Reading 2a, 3a, 3c.
Pupils find out all about the Robinsons, a real family who lived in the Manor House in Victorian times, through handling authentic Victorian objects, dressing up, toys and games and learning how to read the Census. Discover what life was like for the real Victorian children who lived in the Manor House when it was a Victorian slum Recommended for KS2.

Hands-on Romans
KS2 History Knowledge, skills and understanding 1a, 1b, 2a, 3, 4a, 4b, 5c, Breadth of Study 6, 7, 8a; KS2 English En1 Speaking and Listening 1c, 1e.
Children become archaeologists and find out how the Romans fought and lived in this popular hands-on session using genuine Roman objects and replica armour.
2 hour session, £88 (max 30 pupils)

Roman drama 'cui bono?'
KS2 History Knowledge, skills and understanding 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3, 4a, 4b, 5c, Breadth of study 6, 7, 8a; KS2 English En1 Drama 4a.
A vivid portrayal of life in Roman times. Pupils meet Celtic tradeswoman Vedica and Roman soldier Vericundus and hear all about their lives – and their very different opinions of Roman Britain! The pupils prepare for and watch a drama which explores what happens when two cultures clash. With self-led activities in the afternoon.
Full day session, £166 (max 30 pupils)
