About Our Venues
Bradford District is home to some of the most exciting museums and galleries in Yorkshire. From the Baroque splendour of Cartwright Hall Art Gallery to the intimacy of Ilkley's Manor House Museum and Art Gallery, there is always something new to do or see, and admission is free!
Specialist museums like Bradford Industrial Museum and Keighley's Cliffe Castle Museum bring our District's history and heritage to life through ever-changing displays; while interactive exhibits and family events at the Brackenhall Countryside centre help young people learn to enjoy and respect the countryside.
Bradford 1 Gallery is Bradford Council’s free city centre art gallery. The Gallery’s mission is to enrich people’s lives by providing opportunities to engage with quality contemporary art and to bring the work of artists with national and international reputations to the people of Bradford. We aim to make contemporary art accessible to all and have an active learning and outreach programme. For details contact our Education Officer Tracy Uren on 01274 436809 or email tracy.uren@bradford.gov.uk Opened in October 2007, in a new building development in Centenary Square, the gallery is located opposite the town hall and alongside the city’s current major development project City Park: Mirror Pool Plaza The building also houses the independent photography gallery . www.impressions-gallery.com
