Cliffe Castle closed for refurbishment
From April 2012 Cliffe Castle Museum will be closed to the public for major refurbishment work. This exciting project, which is scheduled to last for one year, will deliver new lighting, heating systems and the restoration of some of our most important historic rooms. Museum staff will be working hard behind the scenes. We look forward to welcome our audiences back in 2013 and hope that you enjoy the programme of events and exhibitions provided by our other museums and galleries.
See how the Victorians used to live or become an explorer of the world around us. See fossils, examples of the creatures that live around us, the finest Victorian interiors and stunning minerals and rocks. Throughout the summer visit the Ancient Wisdom Exhibition, with activities about the Romans, Greeks and Egyptians.
