How to find us

Cartwright Hall Art Gallery is in the middle of Lister Park, one and a half miles from the City Centre on the A650 Manningham Lane. There is limited parking in Lister Park, accessible from North Park Road (off Oak Lane). Lister Park is served by many city centre bus services including 23, 25, 26, 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 622, 647, 662, w5. Cartwright Hall is about ten minutes' uphill walk from Frizinghall railway station.

Our curatorial staff is happy to help with your enquiries about works of art. Please ring 01274 431212 to arrange an appointment, giving as much detail about the item as you can.

Reserve and reference collections

These may be viewed for research or interest purposes by prior arrangement. Only a fraction of Bradford's art collections can be exhibited in our galleries. If you wish to know whether Bradford holds works by a particular artist, school or period, or about a particular subject, please write or email your enquiry in the first instance, to: cartwright.hall@bradford.gov.uk

Café

There is a privately run café in the Lister Park boat house. The café serves hot and cold drinks, food and ice-cream. Open April - September 12 noon -7pm. October 11am-5pm (weekends only). If the weather is good you may find the café open outside the usual hours! Telephone 01274 487312.
