Nilima Miah from Appleton Academy and Aisha Qayam from Dixons City Academy were two year 12 work experience placements based at Bradford Industrial Museum in July 2016. They chose this 10cm calculi as their object of the month.
‘We chose it because it is intriguing how a gallstone could be so big, it makes you wonder how on earth it came to be like that. The object is very out of the ordinary, it looks more like a cannon ball than a gall stone.’ Nilima Miah.
This curious object can be found in the horse emporium display at Bradford Industrial Museum.
