Tuesday 16 February
Recycled wildlife 11am - 3pm
Explore wildlife in the museum with our experts from the Yorkshire Dales Parks Authority and join artist Rachel Slee to create your own nature themed recycled creations. Bring some plastic bags to contribute to our Yorkshire Dales inspired weaving or to make your own flora and fauna to take away!

Under Threat 11am - 3pm
In this family activity to celebrate National Science Week 2010 find out more about threats to wildlife and take a closer look at some endangered species from the museum collections. Test your survival instincts by finding food and shelter for animals in a trail round the museum, create your own species and complete the family nest egg challenge- who will build the highest and strongest nest to save the species from destruction?

Help us to celebrate the opening of our new landscape exhibition ‘Another View’ by contributing to our moorland inspired Mandala pattern using natural materials.

Tuesday 6 April
The Fifth Great Egg Roll 11am - 3pm
Now in its fifth year! Bring a raw hens egg with you, decorate and then take part in the Great Roll. Prizes for the best decorated egg and the furthest unbroken roll.

Past Extravagance 11am - 3pm
Join us for day of activities to celebrate the refurbishment of the great drawing room here at Cliffe Castle. Learn about Cliffe Castle’s past from our costumed interpreter , find out more about the lavish interiors and be inspired by the beautiful surroundings to create your own Victorian style toy theatre.

Please join us for a series of fun, hands-on workshops about the mystery and beauty of gold leaf gilding led by Conservation specialist Pam Keeton. The first session will   give an opportunity to gather inspiration from the magnificent surroundings of Cliffe Castle and to look at the gilding work around the building. There will also be an introductory talk with Dale Keeton, the Social History Collections Officer or Bradford Museums and Galleries, and a particular insight into the restoration of one of the building’s most important interiors, the Great Drawing Room and the journey of the silk from India. The second workshop will be held at Kala Sangam and will also explore the architecture of Bradford Cathedral.  Whether you're an interior designer, architect or someone simply interested in experiencing this ancient craft, please come along.
