Part of his fortune was dedicated to the building of an Cartwright Hall and the laying out of Lister Park for the public benefit. Message from the Young Ambassadors
"The Bradford Young Ambassadors are young people aged 16 to 25, who meet regularly at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery to share projects and discuss views about art. We have previously worked with local, national and international artists to develop our own creative skills. We hope to enhance our knowledge of the arts by working with professionals in the industry based in the museums and galleries setting."
